Itinerary for One-Day Kampala City Tour
On this walking tour, we visit the century old Nakasero fresh Food market that has been serving Kampala’s diverse socially residents with fresh produce from the whole country and beyond. Set in central business district of this metropolis, every night, farmers with their truck-loads of fresh produce offload onto stalls within this market, ensuring a steady supply regardless of the season elsewhere in the upcountry.
From the food market, we follow the bustling arcade-lined streets stocked with variety of merchandise from designer clothing lines to Chinese made phones, here try you negotiating skills. On a visit to the Royal Palace hill of Buganda Kingdom, we learn of ancient cultures, traditions, its internal political organization, lineage and influence that has made this kingdom flourish and stand strong even today.
Taking a walk along the ancient mile street, you will pass by the Buganda Kingdom parliament to appreciate a great architectural master piece. The tour will bring you onto the elegant Gadhafi Mosque complex that sit atop Old Kampala hill commanding a 3600 across across the capital of Kampala and its bustling business district. This National Grand mosque is the largest in the region with a sitting capacity of over 15000 worshippers on every Juma day.
